Mr. Andersen, a true San Francisco native, has spent much of his life living in a variety of places across the world. His travel experience and time with the Security Service in the Air Force led to a degree in International Relations which prepared him to open an office for a Far East Trading Company, in Germany, post military service.
Upon his return to the US, he focused on a career in sales handing a wide variety of products and services, from pre-engineered steel buildings, tires, wine, life and health insurance to business communications and business consulting.
Throughout his career Andersen was an active community participant in local Rotary, PTA, the Board of Education as well as numerous activities supporting his daughter in Girl Scouts and Indian Guides.
Mr. Andersen is currently president of the Lincoln Hills Foundation and one of the key architects and supporters of the Foundation’s Caregiver Support Program in conjunction with Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center. His personal experience of losing his wife Mia after 47 years of marriage to this disease makes this program especially important to him. He also serves as the administrator of the Alzheimer’s/Dementia Caregivers Support Group here in Lincoln Hills.
